Cropper is a screen-capture utility that is as full-featured as they come. Of course, you can take screenshots with any application. Even Windows has a pair of keys set aside for that. But what makes this program a great screen-capture utility is its ease of use. And Cropper is extremely simple. All it takes to activate it is one of its hotkeys or a click on its system tray icon. When you do that, a semi-transparent rectangle will come up, and you can resize it both horizontally and vertically to capture a specific area of the screen. It also displays the size of the rectangle in pixels, which is very helpful.
The application supports several formats: JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF, etc. It also allows you to send a capture directly to the clipboard or a printer. Cropper will make use of the Print Screen key for fullscreen and window captures, and you can assign any of the available output formats to it. Another good thing about Cropper is that you don't necessarily need to open the options to change settings. The tray icon menu allows you to change output formats and even picture quality. It also has access to Options and Help.
